Anticipation
Anticipation captures the charged moment that precedes a kiss — the space between two people that is somehow more emotionally loaded than the contact itself.
The sculpture leans into that paradox. Two figures built from inherently cold materials — discarded hard drives, motherboards — hold between them something unmistakably warm. The space between their lips, the touch of their hands, the way they incline toward each other all amplify the longing of the moment.
As with much of the work, the piece also looks inward. The man carries an image of the woman within his torso. Love, at its depth, is about seeing and embracing what isn't visible on the surface — and the gesture of the inset figure invites different readings. Some see openness and vulnerability. Others see expectation. What does it mean to you?
