Passenger # 1

We all carry passengers. How well do you know yours?

Passenger #1, from my Reflections series, begins with a question about what lives beneath the surface of who we are.

The woman's gaze is downward — not deflected, but deliberate. She's looking inward at the face on her chest: a distinct, beautiful entity that is a core part of her but rarely the one she shows the world. Vibrant butterfly wings extend from her body, depicting transformation not as something that has happened, but something perpetually underway.

The reflection blurs the boundary between inner and outer form. In the right light, they become one thing. The passenger we carry isn't separate from us. It is us.
