Fractured Stillness
Fractured Stillness, from my Beyond Humanity series, was created in collaboration with Hal Yaskulka, a classically trained painter.
The sculpture depicts a woman in deep meditation — hands in the Gyan Mudra, legs in the lotus position. Her body holds stillness. Her face doesn't.
The fractured head is the piece's central tension. In a world of relentless information overload, the mind is pulled in every direction even when the body has gone still. The fragmentation isn't damage — it's an honest portrait of what inner life looks like in our age.
