Cyborgs Best Friend

Cyborg's Best Friend, part of my "Beyond Humanity" series, explores a post-human future by questioning whether a cyborg civilization would share our fundamental emotional and social needs. The sculpture asks if traits like affection and companionship are inherent to consciousness itself or primarily a product of human evolution.

The cyborg's choice to have a pet depicts a drive for connection, mirroring a human desire. However, the USB cable that links them implies their relationship is defined by more than just emotion. This digital connection points to a constant exchange of information, hinting at a new kind of bond in a post-human world based on data and shared consciousness.
